My Practice

Psychotherapy works best when sessions happen on a regular basis. The reason is that your body and mind are wise. They know better than to allow vulnerable or painful issues to emerge when there won't be a consistent space in which to work on them. Regular sessions can build the kind of trust your whole system needs in order to work on difficult problems.

I usually see clients weekly, although some issues can be better addressed with twice-weekly sessions. Sessions typically last 50 minutes.

Sometimes in therapy, things can feel worse before they feel better. The work can bring up painful feelings, and you might feel sad, anxious, or tired after sessions. My goal is not to prevent you from having these feelings, but rather to ensure that you don't feel overwhelmed in a way that makes it hard for you to go about the rest of your day. A core part of my job is ensuring the pace of the work is right for you.

I am not in network with any insurance companies, but if your insurance plan has out-of-network benefits, I will provide the paperwork you need in order to get reimbursed.

My office is conveniently located at 905 Santa Fe Avenue in Albany, just off Solano Avenue. Street parking is available.
